Disaster Resilience Mini-Conference

Registration is open for the Disaster Resilience Mini-Conference to be held January 19, 2018 on the Oxford Campus of the University of Mississippi.
The Disaster Resilience Flagship Constellation is organizing this mini conference to share information within the UM community on initiatives related to Disaster Resilience. The format will be a general information session led by the interim constellation leadership team, a series of five-minute presentations from individual faculty/researchers, and breakout discussions focusing on constellation sub-themes. The event will be held from 10am-3pm with in-person and online participation options. Lunch will be provided.
Participation in the flagship constellation and the mini-conference is open to all who are interested, but event pre-registration is requested by 5 pm on January 10.
There are two ways to register.
- UM/Oxford personnel who have not decided to present a 5-minute talk can register at http://www.research.olemiss.edu/upcoming-presentations with one click (following WebID authentication). Be sure to click on the appropriate registration option: In Person, or Remote. We will follow up later to see if you want to present.
- Everyone else (including all UMMC personnel, and anyone who already knows they want to present) should e-mail Ahmed Al-Ostaz to register, being sure to specify whether you will be attending IN PERSON or REMOTELY; if you are interested in giving a 5-minute talk, please specify a title, and a 150 word (max) abstract—or we can follow up with you later to get the abstract.
